: RRC rims solution?

It seems that the rims on the 85' RRC I'm picking up Sunday are in bad shape. One has a big chunk out of an edge and another has some small stress cracks.

I went over to RR.net to try to figure out what my options are as far as rims, but I am a little hazy on stock rim fitment? Besides the 3 spoke style 16" rims on the RRCs', what other 16" RR rims will fit on the RRCs?

I would like to go with the steel 15s eventually, but the 16" tires on it are almost new. I have tried to read through the archives here, but it still doesn't give me a clear picture on what fits and how?

Thanks for your help, in advance! :D

Any Rover rim built before 1996 (NAS MY) will fit and some until 1999 1/2.

Chubster - I have two sets that I need to get rid of. one 15" steel, and one 16" 3-spoke alloy. the steelies are brand new, and the alloys are in great shape. PM me if you're interested - PBB discount in effect.

Or 16" rostyles for that early RR look. (for sale btw (w/o the sport kings though!))

Hey Issac, What kind are those 15" of yours?

they're pro-comps. they have the circular "nato" style pattern. black powder coating, and 3.75 backspacing. brand new, never mounted - fwiw.

those rostyles kick major ass! I would have bought them from you but have to have steelies for the larger center cutout. I ended up with a set of 16" nato's on 255/85

Those rims suck (I bent three). They don't hold a bead worth shit, and they don't clear Rangie bleeder screws. Junk.

How much for the Rostyles? I might be inclined to buy them.

really.

they fit on my rrc and my disco fine.

I did bend one but I did try to hard and bent an alloy on the exact same rock the next year.

I will withdraw the offer of sale pending until I know they fit on an 85

they didnt clear the bleeders on my 87/88 axles, your calipers are probably different.

They will fit, but you need to grind the barb off the bleed nipple (easy Merv!)

Rostyle set of 4, $200 obo, part trade if you have cool stuff (ser 2 vent knobs etc)

"ser 2 vent knobs etc"

Hey, I cornered the market on Series II unique parts years ago. I have three horn buttons, 4 turn signals and no extra sets of vent knobs so I need these.

Take off :flipoff2:

Cragar coke bottles, or General Lee fins would be swank for that retro 80's look.
If i could only get my hair to feather!!!
