Has anyone rebuilt/ scratch built/ or strengthen their chop saw base? I am moving into a new shop, and could be using the chop saw even more. The motor is still good, but the base flexes too much. I was thinking about adding some angle iron to the base to make it stiffer. Any pics would be great.

I layed out a base from 1/4" aluminum and used 2"X2"X1/4" box tubing for the base. I used 2 pieces longways. It makes for a heavy rigid base.
