I'm pretty stoked, I just got my ride back from Otter the other day.
I parked on my boulder in my front yard and took a bunch of pics of my new suspension.

yeah, I'm a poser http://www.scottkarg.com/fj40pics/slides/P1010091.JPG

don't you mean 3link? :D

Hows the propane coming along?

How do the fender aprons attach to the truck at the rear?

How do the air shocks ride?

gotta get off my ass and finish my SOA setup...dam lack of motivation...

Nope, I mean 4-link, look again :D

There's brackets holding the aprons on, I'll get a pic tomorrow.

The airshocks ride fine so far, haven't wheeled them yet. They are charged to 275 psi.

*edit* forgot to address your propane question. I'm still wating on the adapters from Roy. :)

He was barking at the deer, if you look closely in some of the pics, you can see them in the background. :D

I'm not an expert on these things but looks like a 3-link to me as well. Looks good. You going to leave the rear as is or?

From what I can see, you have 3 links......left radius arm, right radius arm, pan hard bar (trac bar).

Cool pics.

Do you have any twist in your hyraulic ram mount on the tie rod (like a rod end or a bushing)? It seems you have the mounting ears 90* out of phase which will cause some slight binding and may even begin to oval the mounting holes in the brackets.

Scott, More information on the propane conversion please. Who is Roy and what adapters is he making for you? Perhaps one to adapt a domestic engine Impco mixer onto the 2F Intake? What mixer are you going to run and where did you source your kit?

I know lots of questions but I need to decide really soon if I am going to take the propane plunge or just buy a fuel cell and remain a gasser. Any and all information on what setup you intend to run will help.

Also, is that the Crawltech traction bar found here? http://www.crawltech.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=735
If so would you mind measuring from the center of the rod end that mounts to the forward shackle back to the center of the upper axle link bolt hole? I am wondering if their off the shelf one will work for me.

Thanks!

OK, radius arms each side, with links off of them. This side, the link goes to the top of the pumpkin.

I don't have a great pic of the driver's side closeup, I'll get one soon.

As for the propane conversion,
Roy is the propane guy http://www.propaneguy.com. i sent him the butterfly plate from a 2f carb, so he can make an adapter. I'm going to also get my mixer from him, a 325, which will work great with the 2f, and will work with the 327 I'll be putting in eventually.
I sourced my stuff part by part through ebay, but roy now has complete new or rebuilt kits. I'm going propane because my carb takes a dump at certain angles. Propane looks to be very simple, I mean, if I can do it. :nuke: :D
Cheap too. There's great info on this site here, and on http://www.patooyee.com/propane/propane_1.htm

The traction bar is from here, looks identical though http://www.mountainoffroad.com/catalog/traction%20bar/tractionbar.html

As to the hydro ram, I'm not an expert, but if Otter tells me it'll work, it will either work well, or he'll fix it, he know's his stuff. Shakedown run is on the 28th, I'll let you know how it performs. My crawl ratio is only like 56:1, but it beats my previous 28:1 by a mile. I'll be putting one of the Orions in by the summer.

John,
I just realized you are in Silver Spring. If you want to hook up when I do the pane conversion, let me know. I'll probably do it in January. I can't put my seats in until I lose the gas tank anyway.
