I don't know what to think of this trace route. 100% loss on hop 16, 17 thru 29 it just jumps back a forth!

It seems to be up and down, I was able to get on for a brief time last night, but was not able to connect to any of the boards.

Hop 15 is a Boarder Router, (on ramp to the big pipes). Seems that things go bad from there, I'd say a routing problem or hardware problem. I'm sure Bill is aware of it, but it looks like his ISP is having the issues. The upstream ISP may have feed the boarder router bad routing information.

I remember an ISP in the mid west fed one of the NAP's a bad route that lead to about 25% of the coast to coast traffic feeding through a single T-1, can you say bottle neck.

I think that the BB is connected to DSL in Bill or some bodies closet.

Those two servers are probably DNS and are just not resolving. When the BB first started having trouble a couple of days ago, the it took forever to resolve.

Most people are waiting for the threaded version, before they move over, I believe...

I know from experience that Low-gear is for towing (My girlfriends Buick 401 v8 paid for that knowledge) When i switch to 4wd is it the same way. Example..If i'm running about the desert i put it in 4WDH where as if I'm towing something, i put it in Low. Is this right, or have i got it backwards? One last question ,for now, when in 4wd do i keep the shifter in N?

Hope he doesn't find this post and get offended.

OOOOHHHH I remeber that one..... I was rolling on the floor for a while <g>

some of the "newbie" questionas are HILARIOUS... but then I alwasy think... you know, you HAVE to learn somewere/sometime, and the only stupid question is the one un-asked....

but then, if he just went out and TRIED it, he would know the answer....

Now for a PTO, it would be correct <g>

Course, I have never found the need for low-range when towing, except in my yard when I want the added control and 4wd to not dig holes :D

Same here. low range is for control when towing. Makes it a lot easier to back the trailer into a tight spot - especially with a stick - if you can just let it idle and you're not on/off the gas/clutch all the time.

.. well, and that time I drove over Hoosier Pass with about 4 of the 8 holes firing with another Scout in tow.. I used low-range then, too. :D

You forgot PBB rule number one. You cannot get offended by anything said on the BB. No *be nice* rules in this forum. Anything said is for the betterment of the receiver, and the betterment of the sport. Any ridicule should be taken in good sport with that realization. If folks don't like that rule, they need to stay in a more gentle forum. One thing I like about this forum is folks call it the way they see it. No tiptoeing around, no dancing on eggshells.

But just because someone posts something stupid (I do it all the time) doesn't mean they are stupid and it doesn't mean we think they are stupid. It's not personal. It's PBB.
