: Cruiser's gone - Cruiser God's blessing?
osteology 11-15-2004, 11:55 AM This is breaking my heart - my cruiser just left the house with a new owner.
Ended up having two serious buyers with the same offer - One turned out to be a fellow Lone Star member and I gave it to him. As he pulled out, I went inside 'cause I couldn't watch it leave after 14 years and found an email from the other possible buyer - extra 2 grand added to the offer!!! I guess I feel good about keeping it in the fLSLC family - I hope the Cruiser God's feel the same way and bless me when the search begins for a wagon which can haul the new family.
wngrog 11-15-2004, 01:50 PM Who bought it bitch?
Sorry to see it go. I am not so happy about you being back now :D
osteology 11-15-2004, 02:09 PM Newer LSLC member but a crusier owner from way back - Jim Sills. Hasn't been able to make it to meetings due to keeping our traveling butts in the air but I'm working on him for the round-up.
See you on Thursday and you can slap me then, bitch :flipoff2:
texican 11-15-2004, 02:11 PM He'll have to beat me to slappin' ya'

At least it's still in the family - makes loosing the 2K from the other buyer a bit easier to swollow.
Yes, it does suck to not have it BUT rest assured, I will get another (even if it's a wagon - Wagons are OK aren't they JJ?)

I have had a near death cruiser experience (I owned and still own Jeeps) and I am here to tell you: there is no cruiser God. I am the original Cruiser Atheist. :D

You must have faith, ya' think it was chance I had an extra battery or Kowboy had the welder to fix your junk at Gilmer?
If you were in a Heep you'd still be out there :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

osteology 11-15-2004, 04:19 PM On a related topic.......
Anyone have an empty seat for the roundup in March? I'll buy the beer -
might get a bit 'spensive if Kowboy has a seat but beggars can't be choosers :D
dd113 11-15-2004, 04:35 PM I have an empty seat as of now. It will take a lot of PBR to fill it though; and maybe a bit of JD!
romer 11-15-2004, 05:48 PM So, is that what you Lone Star boys do at a meeting. Sit around calling each other "bitch"?

I've been to the last 23 meetings, and ever since Butch told me they moved them to Wednesday nights, it seems like I am the only one there. :D
At least nobody is calling anyone bitch anymore.

trailerman 11-15-2004, 07:21 PM They were smiling on me today. I'm indebted to Mark, This is exactly what I was looking for. It complements my 83 40 very nicely. I may not own a herd like Pimp but I've got a great pair! Thanks again Mark.
DavidW 11-15-2004, 07:27 PM Where the hell is Dolleyville?
trailerman 11-15-2004, 07:32 PM Colleyville [mid-cities] has a reputation in some circles as being snooty. I'm located in the poor side of town.

I would try to break you of that filthy PBR habit but if I'm buying cheep is good
Question for Butch: Is the JD allowed to be used for burning feet if JJJ isn't around?
texican 11-16-2004, 02:02 PM We just have a good time at our meetings, whatever that requires........
ANy flammable liquid can be used for setting feet a blaze

helocat 11-16-2004, 02:06 PM Mark,
Ooohf. I feel for you. I remember selling my 67’ so I could buy my first computer in school. Cool that it is going to stick around the area and you know who the new owner is. All ways good to know its going to a good home.
Good luck on the wagon search. I am doing the same right now as we have baby #3 on the way.
