Had the Pleasure of driving the SIIa home tonight....

The RRC was running hot on the way into work today...made it fine by stopping twice....figured it needed a burp....

Let it burp all day at work...went out at lunch and saw a pice of RTV in the coolant (looking down into the tank from the fill plug...used some needle nose pliers and pulled it out...about 5" long....)

went out after work and topped it off...fired it up and made it to the Portsmouth circle and it got hot again. Fug this..dropped it at the shop and drove the SIIa home.

I hate this. But I love it. But I hate it.

It's geein' cold for Series trucks. I'm driving a client's RRC til he gets back from Turkey. Hopefully, I'll have Shopgrrl's truck done by then. Pics to come of today's observations. It ain't pretty, I had to drag ANOTHER short block out from under the bench.

At least you didn't find a cylinder so rusty the piston wouldn't go to TDC necessitating another engine. I hadn't expected the additional machine shop work, along with new cam gear set. Just as business has slowed down frighteningly.
