Toyota sells the glass pre-cut for the FJ40 for around $60 with the TLCA discount.

Just get it from the dealer - as cheap as having it cut and no wories about it being correct. I paid 65 bucks or so with my discount at the dealer in Dallas

I thought everything was bigger in Texas, :D apparently the price is smaller. Dealer here in N. Cali wanted $160 for the glass!

I have a ws out of a '73 out of the frame right now and could make you a template if you decide you want to go that route. PM me if you are interested.

We've got this really cool thing at the top of the page called a thread search! This one is pretty recent:

If your dealer wants $160, you're at the wrong place. tlca.org member businesses have a couple dealers in there that will treat you mcuh better, shipping included.

Toyota has discontinued FJ40 windshield glass (1965-12/74). I think I must have ordered some of the last glass for this vintage last year when I was completing a restoration on my 71 Fj40. Cost was something like $55 after discount, and I ordered it from Toyota of Dallas. There may be some glass "off-line" in some dealers inventory around the country if you have a dealer that can check.

The strange thing about this is that I can still order pre-1965 windshield glass from Toyota.

Thomas: Your insurance has windshield coverage, right? So why worry about the price of the glass? Andy

it would be cheaper to become a member yourself than pay for gas and drive around the bay area to a dealer to hook up with a member for this discount.you would also get other benafits

Any glass shop can cut flat glass and they have most all patterns on file. Sould not cost more than $100. OEM is best if you can get it.

Anyone know where to get a windshield gasket for a 69 FJ40? I know CCOT sells them, but I'm looking for other alternatives.

Thanks in advance,
Charles
