Just looking to get some advice on determining the value of a 47 willys ive been fixing up, it runs good an has both the old 6 volt and retro 12 volt system in working order and and the original 4 banger flat head engine and ive put in a full cage (6 point) and a bunch of other uneeeded crap on it in or around (none of which cant be removed easily for a restore job) , The problem I am having is coming up with a sale price, most of the ones i see for sale are either full restores and are going for 6-10 thousand, or they need alot of work and are only going for several hundred, I was thinking around a couple grand or so , however any guidance in making a fair desc. would be appreciated, thanks

First, try mixing in some more punctuation :D One period in that whole paragraph :D
How much is it worth? Do you want to sell it whole or in pieces? Cause you will get a whole lot more in pieces than you will whole.
Your problem is that you are in limbo. A restorationist might "want" it because it is in good shape but he won't pay what you think it is worth (4K + I assume?).
Someone on this board might buy it but only if it was a clean flatty that wasn't stock. 10 spline axles suck. :D
If everything was in great shape and all the numbers matched (original motor, frame, VIN tags are original, etc. etc.) then you could sell it whole for 3500ish. You would be better off posting up on the willy's tech board http://www.willystech.com/parts/board.shtml

cool, thanks , I was actually thinking more like a couple grand, also Ive been looking for a link like that, thanks again. As for the alaskan hermit ! I have an idea, you can spend the next two min. trying to figure out how head head has managed to stay on your shoulders, however I am confident you will find the result to be that it is so far up your ASS it showed up again.

What condition is the tub in? What condition is the frame in? Do the numbers match? All these will figure heavily in your price. Original miles? I'm thinking your being a bit optimistic on price, I got a complete running and driving 43 GPW for 600. Smallblock/t-90/dana 20 still had the course spline axles in it(don't know what the owner was thinking.
Dad bought a 64 willys with excellent body just motor needing a rebuild for 250. Just think you might be optimistic is all.

Buddy just bought a 46 for $1000, good condition but not pretty. I sold my 43 GPW for $5300 good looking but mostly resto/mod stock. I have seen many 2A's sell for $4000 with a new coat of rattle can OD green. I would say try 3-4 depending on condition. Start high and work down.
