Thinking about checking it out this weekend, anyone know how much snow and how high up before the snow closes the road? Thanks

whats the elevation up there? we went last year around the end of December and there was alot of snow, dunno about right now though. Call the Forestry service up at Placerville, they should be able to tell you.

I doubt that there is very much snow up there. We were on the Con last weekend and there wasnt much to speak of

I'm thinking about taking the quad up there, would like to unload at alder creek road. Anyone made that far without plowing snow?

4300ft i believe, got a cabin on buckhorn rd

I doubt if there is much snow at all. I was up there about three weeks ago cutting firewood and just ran into small patches of snow...

no way theres snow at 4300, i didnt start seeing snow til around 6000 up at High Lakes this past weekend.

there is snow up there a ways. But it is frozen shit!!! Definately not worth going up there, until next snow. We were up last weekend.
