I've got a 97 s10 blazer I'm gonna SAS. I'm gonna run 38" TSLs, 14FF in the rear. Gonna keep the stock trans/x-case cause I don't wanna bite off too much at once so i'm gonna need a driver drop front axle.
So what should I use in the front?

I don't know jack about fords, please excuse my ignorance. Or don't. :flipoff2:
I was thinkin ford 60 but don't know anything about em. Any suggestions? Cheap is good. Which 44 would be desirable? TTB?

No TTB is the least desirable option, go post this in the Chevy forum.

You want a Ford D60. TTB? Swapping to a TTB??? Drop that idea right now. Forget a D44 too since you're gonna run 38's.

OK maybe the :flipoff2: and  :shaking: were too subtle.
It was a poor attempt at SARCASM. :flipoff2: I know TTB sucks. Really.

I should have been more clear with my questions. So here goes:

Which 60 should I be lookin for? Are certain years more desirable than others? Kingpin or balljoint?
If I can't find a 60, is one 44 better than another? What year, model should I be lookin under? Not 80s, 90s, right? Cause they have TTB. :)

78,79 F-350, '86-'97 F-350 for D60s.

A D44 built to handle that much tire will still cost nearly the same. Go 60.

depends on what kind of suspension you want to run.78/79's (d44's) make it difficult to run a leaf spring suspension.. 76/77 are easier but at for me, much harder to find (the 76/77's c-wedges can be cut off, where as the 78/79's are integral and not removable)

By the time you buy a D44 and put cromo's and CTM's in it it will cost as much as/more than a D60. Why bother if you're starting from scratch? Start with a D60 and do it right if you're gonna run 38's.

You know to run the ford d60 youll need a drop bracket for the Raikerman's Rod, and youll also need to fabricate a Snydler's Link.

I laughed at this, untill I realized some of the peeps we get in here probably don't get the joke. Its sad, really.

As 45acp and others said, go D60, or walk home.
