Hey guys,
I have an M880 with the 24v generator still in it and wondered how I could go about pulling just 12v to run my snow plow hydraulics. anyone aware of these systems/trucks and know if there is a block I can tie into to get half of the 24vdc?

Is the whole electrical system 24V or just certain parts like the Chevy CUCV's? IF it is all 24v can't help ya, but if it splits somewhere I would tap into where it splits. On the CUCV's the only thing 24V is the glow plugs and starter and has a juntion block just to the right of the brake booster that supplies 12V for everything else. I would think that someone makes a resistor/reducer to take 24 down to 12. good luck though

These M880's had a 24 volt system in them that is seperate from the trucks charging/electrical system. they used it for running equipment out in the field (radios, transmitters etc). My truck has a few military style plug connectors on the side and in the bed of the truck.
