How difficult is it to replace the transfer case mounts on a LT 230?

Mine are pretty much shot and definately need to be replaced.

Jack the 230 up with a floor jack and unload the mounts, unbolt the old ones, remove and replaced with the new. Liberal use of big ass pry bar may be required. Having a friend help is also a good idea. If your tcase mounts are shot, then you prolly need new engine mounts as well.

If you can do it on a lift, it helps exponentially. then just put a screw jack under the transfer case. FYI, you have to remove the 3 bolts that go through the frame on each side, holding the bracket in place. then drop the whole assembly down and you can take it all apart easily. on a lift, i did all 4 drivetrain mounts in under an hour.

if you do have to do it by yourself, use the floor jack and do one at a time- easy.

They're a hellofalot easier then the engine mounts, IMO

just a warning while "dropping the assembly down" as adam said. it is possible to pinch the heater hoses that lead into the firewall as the engine rotates back (on an rrc atleast) not fun to replace those hoses so keep an eye on them. dont ask me how i know...
