: TJ coil mounting ideas

Here is what i have come up with so far.
great drawing i know.
which would you do ? or any other suggestions welcome.
it will be on my fj40 with fullwidth 60 front etc... looking for a simply yet strong and clean install.

looks pretty good to me. how do plan to hold them in the buckets? ive seen quite a few people pop em out when flexin it up.

i guess there is 2 choices, limit straps or some just past 90 degree tabs on teh inside of the bucket going out over the coil.

maybe down the road, but for now the front needs the pinion out of the dirt and lower by like 3 inches so the need is much more.

You may want to weld the tube in the first picture to a plate and weld the plate to the frame.

Also, you may want to add a third "leg" going from the top of the hoop to the top of the frame rail.

Have you seen Polyperformance's coilover mount they make for the TJ?

Something like that design may work for your upper coil mount.

Also, a spreader bar between the two mounts might not be a bad idea also.

sweet, thanks for the pics. the tube one looks so clean and nice but teh flat plate idea would work just as well. the tube creation would be easy to adjust for ride height as well.
