Got the Bronco in a trade. I know I don't want to build up my stock axles, when I can get some full width axles for pretty cheap. I just gotta go looking for them. A full width 44 front is a dima a dozen at the yards, and the 60 rear is even easier to find. I just gotta figure out if I wanna do this not or later.

Bent, I wanna come check that thing out when you are done. et me know.

I guess you can build up the front axle and use the same parts later on the fullwidth 44. If you want I can probably sell you a 9in. third with 4.10 and a detroit for cheap. But eventually you will go fullwidth anyways so you can do it now instead of spending more money going through stages.
rocktoy- yep thats my junk.:D

could use the 9" center, but then again, I can get the 44 and 60 with the 410's in them stock, and then just weld up the rear. I think I will just do that later. befire I dump money ito my junk.

Heres a pic of mine, I'm in the middle of the swap right now, just seeing how things fit in this pic. Theres also two trip reports with many pics at the classic bronco site with in the last month from AZ. with a guy named AC who has fullwidth axles with really shallow back spacing on his rims almost looks like double full width axles.
I have some pics he e-mailed me I can send you or you can contact him on the classic broncos site his member name is RockPilot.

I moved the c-bushing wedges in 2" and drilled the holes in the lower spring cups over 1" to get the lower spring mount directly under the upper spring mount.
As far as the rear housing, just remove and adjust the spring pads for the width of the leafs, make sure you know how to set the pinion/ leaf spring pad orientation.

I think your asking is that housing uncut, it's uncut.
Backspacing is 3.5; I would like to go with 4.5 backspacing and maybe a narrower width rim, maybe on that.

thanks, sorry about not being clear.
I think I am going with a 9.75in. rim w/4.5in. of bs. using and 15in. wide tire. Thats the narrowest I can go for now without the hummer rims I was supposed to get.

Those are some sweet rigs. I wonder how much my 44 and 9" are worth? They are out of a 77 so they have disc brakes up front, and the rear is I think a nodular, big bearing, 31 spline 9 inch. All I want to do is find a matching set of RC44 and 60.

Broncoboy, I would have bought your stuff, but that is 900 I don't have right now. If I did that, I would have to find a 5.13 gearset for my rear 60 as well. I just want some stock axles for now. Weld the rear, and keep the front open unilt I cal afford a 60.

Hold onto the front end if you find a Hi-Pin D-44 w/drums swapp the knuckles and disks onto it, 77 knuckles are great as far as tie rod elevation goes, and if the rears a nodular drop that 3rd member in your full width 9 inch housing.
Heres anothe pic of A.C./RockPilot twisting it up in AZ. with his full width axles.

Nice bronco's all. I really like the driven auto ones. The rest of thyem do not seem to be much wider than the stock setup. I think if I go full width, I want to be a bit wider than the stock width. Any one got any pics of the driven trucks? Those things are bad ass.
