I have found a Front CV drive shaft off of a wagoneer. Is it possible to have this cut down for a rear cv dr. shaft on a YJ? The shaft is kinda small in diameter but the Ujoint is the same. Shouldnt a local company be ably to put a bigger tube or re-enforce the shaft for a rear aplication. THis would be much cheaper than a terra low shaft or tom woods.

It will run backwards!

A CV is a CV, front or rear who cares, my front drive shaft used to be my rear drive shaft

Yep it will work, I am thinking 'bout going junk yard shopping for 2 right now. I need a spare front and rear.

the main problem is the weaker 1 1/4 tube and weld diamters being small - try to find a 2" tube and see if you can look inside and see the ball and socket -if its black its bad- if its shinny then most likley its in pretty good condition- also try geasing the center needle on the c/v and see if greace comes out the vent hole on the other side- if you need pic's i'll post them up- good luck- Jess
