: "no fuel"

Now to my next plea for help. I have some fuel system problems. My carb has always flooded a little going uphill, but I could always get it started again fairly easy. I have a regulator laying in the seat that I will install this weekend to help that problem.

The other problem that I first experienced on my last trip was that on downhills it would starve for fuel and die. When it did this it would take pouring gas in the carb to get it started back up.
I have a new pump that I will install however I don't really think it is the problem because when it runs, it runs fine, and after I pour a little gas in the carb it runs fine.

Any Ideas?? I put a new gas cap on before my last trip, reckon its not venting enough? Somebody has bound to had this problem before.

What carb?

If it's the OE holley have you installed the spring loaded needle and seat & vent baffle

Sounds to me like the float is lifting and "seating" the needle, I don't know anything about holley's but on a QJ I'd adjust my float level to compnsate. Or modify the float all together.
