I'm wondering if I will need to change out the u-joint when I switch from a 14 s/f to a 14 f/f. also putting disc brakes on at the same time. Using 78 el dorado calipers, will I need to change out my master cylinder or ad residual pressure valves ?

U-joint should be same. Disc brakes are a good upgrade. Keep same MC and just use a "proportioning valve" to adjust disc "bias". Good luck....

PS:welcome NEWBIE.....:flipoff2: :flipoff2: ;) :p

Both use 1350 joints, so the u-joint you have now will work with the FF. What truck is this going in? The 14 bolt in my Blazer has disks and I have no prop valve, I can't get the rear tires to lock up (stops real good trying). A pickup w/ less weight over the back tires may require one.
