My crap was starting to invade my space so i made a rack to put my shat on the roof :D also its nice to be able to see out the rear of the window without my spare in the way.

also made a mount for some lights. its on a hinge point and when i find a linear actuator for cheap or figure out another method it will drop down so i can fit in the parking garage at work.
well untill i SAS it

highlift on one side MAX-AXE on the other. the clamps are actualy conduit hangers from Lowes. they swivle open and are PERFECT for a high lift. one bolt goes threw a hole in the highlift and the handle gets trapped by the clamping part.

also got bored and made a jerrycan mount for the tailgate to complete the safari/mall cruiser image :flipoff2:

The entire rack is made from 3/4in electrical conduit (its a fawking rack, why waiste cash) i was standing everywhere on it and it didnt move at all :flipoff2: took a little to get used to welding on that thin of tubing but i am happy with it. I have to make the "clamp" for the jerry cans a little more beefy.it bends when i torque the fuck out of it. it will hold on normal driving but i am not sure about inverted :D

fawk off  :flipoff2:

It was sitting to low i the rear when i got it and i know the way i think.

"hmmm sitting low, i could put some add-a-leaf but that would be a waiste of cash, i could make a custom pack from my odd leaves around the house, but if i am going to do all that disasebly i might as well just spring over it..but now i would have to match the front,so i will SAS the front..........."

"ok just buy some fucking longer shackles and wait till spring " :flipoff2:

Dude, looks great....

But, is that bumper made out of the same 3/4 conduit?

Just curious

nope SCD40 :flipoff2: (black PIPE!! for those who dont know what SCD40 is)

Pipe makes killer bumpers and sliders as it is tough as fawk, cheap, and non-structural. search this forum for more pics of the tube work.

How loud is that on the highway?

I might have a linear actuator, how long of a throw do you need

actualy once i plugged the tops of the tire hold down and the handle of the high lift it stopped making pipe organ sounds  It makes a low "wirrrrr" sound at 75-80 but i can barely hear it over the other creaking and humming of stuff :flipoff2:

i can go as short as 4 inches or so and can improvise anything too long. the lights dont wiegh much so i can work around anything
