So I'm not the only one who's noticed over the last couple of months the grumblings about the way things 'used to be' in the 'old' days of PBB. I am sure that there have been dozens, if not hundreds of cool threads on cruiser-based rock buggies over the years. However, since I came online in Feb, I think I have seen maybe 6, like Medusa, RockTaxi, Kate, Mace's, Kowboy's and now HeavyTLCs. A brief, but definitely not exhaustive search, found these:

Nolen's: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=247065

Mace's: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=211978

Gunmetalcruz: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=174203

HeavyTLC: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=303490

My point is I think it would be way cool if we added another sticky at the top of the first page that linked to archived build-up threads. So what I propose is that first we use this thread to kind of compile a list of thread links, and then we move that list, with an appropriate intro from somebody like Nolen [or even dogwalker] to its own sticky. If you've got ideas for a thread title, that would be good too. I thought of buggy buildup thread, but BBT just reminded me too much of BTB. :barf: :barf: :barf:

Maybe if it's easier to get to the info, and to the fabricators behind the trucks, we can draw them back into the board for follow ups. Of course, if that doesn't happen, that's just a sign of the times, but we will still have a cool thread!

Good idea. It would also serve to keep those builders motivated to keep building! (even if they can't afford to finish).

Except I don't believe that is Kate. That has a Klune. I thought Kate was running an Atlas. What I mean is your description says Nolen and it goes to Rock Taxis rig.

No sticky for you, six months! You were way down the page so I bumped it. I think it's a good idea.

Good idea mark, thanks for the props. It was a tough to drop in that big, but it's been a heck of a ride. As I said in a post a while ago, oem is for people that like wrenching on the trail. 60 let'm eat. I prefer to spend more time wheeling then camping or wrenching. To be honest i miss being able to drive her around town(being more stock), but the thrill I get pushing the limits of my rig is way more satisfing.

BJ on Roids was one of the most entertaing guys I ever read, his buggy build up was top notch.

Hardly even see him on the Ozzie forum he once moderated.

I vote his build for sure.
