Yep, that is a Walker, and yep it is a scout. It has a rear axle though. It is just twisted up, so you can't see it.

Ok, the dark blue Dakota is mine, the red one is a guy who is actually named Dakota.... true story.
And that grey Ram (which has 35's), that is barely visible behind the monster splash of mud is Jon, it's his property that we meet at every July 4th weekend. This year (2002) will be the 4th annual meet.
He has around 85 or so acres, great trails, and the creek that runs through it.
It was in the creek that i slashed open my Goodyear, ripped a hole big enough to fit my fist through right in the sidewall. It's a tough job changing a flat on a really soft bank next to the creek. :D

Oh, and incidentally, that mud pit claimed about 3 Jeeps that weekend, but no Dakotas. :D
I coaxed Jon into driving his Ram through the pit sideways, but we got hung up on the bank, his custom-mount for the winch was the perfect height to wedge into the mud that made up the bank of the pit.

And while leasing my truck would have been the cheaper thing to do, i just knew that i was going to be screwin around with it, and you know how dealerships just "love" mods right? hehehe

how the hell are you gettin your 1500 to flex like that up front??? rear is nice with the shackle flip on mine, but the front is a different story... ditched swaybar, fairly soft springs for a fullsize, cursing at it, lol... not much works!

lol, thanx for the welcome. there's no real story behind it, just a friend who wants a 4wd a little too bad and doesn't give a damn about that car! it's amazing, 190k miles and it absolutely will not die! we had it stuck bad enough one night it took my truck and z71 with an 8k lb. winch 3 hours to get it out! so how bout those front flex secrets??;) i'm dying to know...:)

Basicaly, I gutted the factory suspension and put a DynaTrac D60 up front and went with a custom long travel link set up with 1.25" heims. Eliminated the track bar. For shocks I went with 2.5" SwayAway coil overs with dual rate springs. All the fab work was done at Fat City Offroad Engineering in Ventura.

Hey ramstein, I wanna know how in the heck you have kept that truck soo straight? Seems like you wheel it pretty hard too... I cant seem to deive down a dirt road with out at least getting a few scratches.. let alone a dent or two.. so, how do ya do it? or do you just have a buddy who owns a body shop?

hehehe, its my show-n-shine rig! Actually its scratched from bumper to bumper and from top to bottom. This is why I chose white paint:D

As far as body work, I found a mobile body repair guy who does a fairly good job and every trip out is just $100.00

So far i've creased the passenger side door (Truckhaven)
Caved in the lower part of the cab just behind the doors (both sides on Rubicon)
To many dents in the bed to count (every time I take it out)
My tailgate doesnt open anymore. (Moab)

About the only thing that I havent hit is the hood.

Ive had the body guy out 3 times and each time he charged me 100 bucks and he matched the paint. About the only time you can see the repairs is after I wash it. So I dont was it!

Not too hard core, but I have'nt had the truck long enough to get much good wheelin in yet. This was during my last trip down to the tip of Baja. I was heading up this small hill and decided to turn around............OOOOOOOOPS!
