i know that these coils often provide more then the stated lift height on a Stock TJ, but with mine being 4700lbs(total), which coils should i go with in order to get about 5-5.5"s of height?

thanks

After looking at your web site I see that you have a D60 rear running H2 wheels?? What are you running up front? I have a TJ with 60's front and rear, atlas, cage and it runs 4660 without driver, pass, or gear. But most of the weight is in the axles which are below the springs. I have been going through this with before I get coilovers. My best guess is that I added 350 lbs of sprung weight over a stock TJ. that is of course without driver, pass, or gear. My gear, pass, and driver weigh about 500. My trip to a CAT scale locked and loaded was 5160!!!

I think he means total weight. Your right about the RE springs riding higher than advertised and they dont seem to sag nearly as bad as some other springs over time, but if your thinkin your TJ is alittle heavier than most go with the 5.5 springs. You'll be able to run a little longer shock also, as oppossed to the 4.5 springs.

I am only running 4" skyjacker coils on my tj (with 2" spacers). But the rear springs bottom out when I am fully loaded driving fast on bumpy roads. If you carry a full size spare, get the 5.5s.

guys thats the total weight of the jeep, i'm running full width, with a D44 front and a FF D60 rear with the H2 rims and 37"x17" MTRs
so yeah i know that most of my weight over stock is unsprung, but the cage, bumpers, skids, winch and other gear adds up too... and like blueangel says i have the prob with the Skyjacker coils bottoming out over bumpy roads and i too run their 4" coil with a 2" spacer, and i'm sick of the bottoming out prob, and the jaring everytime the bumstops make contact onroad!

i also know that the SJ coils are pretty worn so i need to change them out anyways... however i can't really afford to go much heigher either cause i just squeeze into normal size garages at the mo and don't want to have issues if it's too tall...
and obviously i'd loose the 2" spacers with the RE coils...

SkyCrapper's springs are definatly softer, and from what I've seen, sagg out over time worse than any other manufactured spring out there. Loosing the spacers and going with RE's taller and stiffer  springs will definatly help you out. You will probably sit ~1" higher than you do currently though.

well i just ordered the 5.5s from Alex at PORC, and i hope to have them this weekend, and i sure hope i get the stiffness i want out of them, i'm still a little worried about having too much height with them tho, sure can't wait to get rid of the spacers and SJ stuff....
