1994 SWB RRC. Fan only runs when you turn right...

Owner obtains a replacement fan from AB. The fan was an elegant solution to this problem. But, this was marred by AB's poor instructions and as always by their inimitable customer service skills-or lack thereof (It's no wonder I avoid doing business with them).

Now that Shopboy and I have done this a few times, we can get the dash torn out in just a few hours! Get the heaterbox out on the bench and open it up to find a mouse nest inside the box up against the motor and the wires abraded  continue along to the heater core itself and find more evidence of mouse residence  .

Hopefully, this one will be complete today and everything will work and we can keep the mice out.

While I did not enjoy my experience of dealing with AB, their replacement fan is a really elegant solution to this problem. The mounting ring is fairly easy to install, but slightly too tight for the motor to be an easy fit. The instructions assume the installer has no mechanical skills. They provide enough solder to fix every joint on a Rover (Jason-shall I send you the remainder?) and I'm still not sure what the bundle of cable ties is for.
