I don't know if they're the same but, if they are should I lock the front and rear of the 40 or put rear lockers in both the 40 and the 60? Let me know.:D

Have you bought and installed them yet? I can see two problems, if you have. 1) Different pinion flanges (unless used those universal bolt pattern flanges) 2) Did you get an RD08 and an RD02, or both RD08. If you got the RD02, you have to install it in the front (or a rear full floater), cause it doesnt have the access window to allow you to install the c clips.

If you wheel both hard enough, I would put one locker into each vehicle. If the 60 is more of a light trail runner and the FJ40 is the hardcore beast, I would but both into the FJ40....

I would only run the ARB in the front and a Protrax No-slip in the rear. You have a workable set for less money & trouble in the long run, as there are less parts to wear out with the no-slip in the rear. With the ARB in the front it will last a long long time as you only engage front hubs when needed and the ARB only in extreme 4x4 conditions, in the rear it will need work ie new o ring in about three or four years as the rear rotates at all times your rig is moving.
Good luck

Ken,
If you are only going to install 1 ARB, I would put it in the rear. I went all over the place with just a rear unit. I would use the semi-floater versions, even if you do install one in the front. That way you will be able to use them in both ends if something breaks. Brad Now, get them installed!!!:flipoff2:
