One way to get a few would be to start a thread asking if anyone wants to get rid of there old unused dana-30 boat anchors, and remove them.
Another way, try and call Dynatrac and see what they do when they build a Dana-60 for an Early Bronco, and if you might be able to buy some from them.
Good luck.

I think you have to grind them off of a d44 or d30 housing

we went over this one before. i even emailed the place and asked if they sold them and they said yes, it would be 75 dollars a set. i thought it was bc broncos but i guess not, unless its new owners, or the owners suffered from a lack of oxygen for long amounts of time :rasta:

Brian Wicket and some one else are starting to make a spacer so you do not have to grind the ears to get them on a 60

I made some different style mounts when I built my new radius arms, but a buddy of mine wants help puttin' a 60 in his F150. I was a set of the wedges off a D44 I was just hopin' we would have to grind it cause it a fawkin' pain and doesn't look the best

If your gonna go Dana-60 up front with all that expense why not 4 or 5 link it up? toss those stock radius arms, It's kinda like buying a shotgun with no shells.
When it comes right down to it its not that much more work than removing and relocating the wedges, check out the recent AZ. Classic Bronco issue on there site a pretty good article on linking up the front end.

well i am running the radius arms in the back too. i think it is cool to have all the same stuff. i like the radius arms. if i dont like it i might link it, but the radius arms are hands down easier to put on. i dont have to worry about all the engenering as i do with the 4 or 5 link. ive got long arms, im going to make a pivot, what am i out, buying some c-bushing mounts. big deal. the only think i dont like about radius arms are the trac bar.
by the time i get done with 4 link, and all the heims, and everything i will have spent 10 times as much, and all the custom fabbing. this way i can get on the trail easier, and with the pivot, im sure i will use up the 9012s. just an easy bulleyproof swap. ive never heard of anyone hurting a radius arm rock crawling. ive heard of links failing and bending, and binding. also i want to be on the trail in 3-4 months.

I think I was the other person you were referring to. I'm not producing them, it's easy to do yourself, with all the other work putting in a 60...
The inside radius of the duff c-bushing mounts provides 100% surface contact on the dana 60 tubes, there's just an extra 1/2" between them. Take a piece of 1/2" plate, and trace the mating face of the radius arm caps onto them (you need 2 top and 2 bottom pieces), centerpunch them, and drill for the bolts. Weld up the forward hole in each spring cup and retainer, and redrill the hole 1/2" forward of the original location. You now have avoided the trouble of grinding the c bushing mounts out.

I am in the process of putting a D60 in the front of an 78 Bronco... and was able to get a set of wedges off a D44. The D44 tubes were cut, and then spun on a lathe to cut the ID to match the D60 tube. They were then split on the bandsaw to fit over the tubes, and welded on. The benefit of this is that you can also use the stock track arm mount... but it's not that hard just to fab up another one.

If you don't have a D44 housing that you can rob the wedges from, then the James Duff stuff is the way to go.

anybody know what angle these things mount on. I am putting the wedges on a dana 30 that never had them. Do they go perp. to the front of the diff housing?

They need to be welded on according to the castor. Or is it camber?? Bolt everyhting together like c wedges, arms, bushings, springs, tires, and put the rig on even ground at ride height. Put a jack under the pinion and you want 4-5 degrees of camber. Just put and angle finder out at the knuckles. Tack the C wedges, take it all apart, measure for distance between wedges and wedge to knuckle and wedge to DS just to be sure everyhting lines up. Then weld those suckers up and put everything back together. Personally thats a lot of work for a wimpy ol D30. At least find a D44 and you will be much happier. ;)
