My 1990, 3500, 454, TBI, wont get above 180 Degrees I think this motor should run between 200-210 correct? What could be the problem?

Thermostat is stuck in the open position. With an injected motor it needs to run warmer due to the sensors on the engine. Just swap in a new thermostat and see what happens.

If you have access to a scanner (like an AutoXray), hook it up and check what IT says the motor is running at...........I don't trust the stock gauges, my '79's says it runs at 160 but my TPI computer says 195-200 all day long.

A scanner is worth the $150 - kind of a necessity for any FI motor.
