Couple of noobie ?'s

Does anyone know if the carrier (gearset, carrier and all) from a drivers side drop Dana 30 out of a YJ will directly swap into a passengers side drop Dana 30 in a CJ?

Are the gearsets in front axles "Reverse Cut"?

The YJ dana 30 is a high pinion axle. It uses high pinion gears. The CJ dana 30 is a low pinion axle and uses low pinion gears. The two do not interchange.

High pinion axles out there include some Ford dana 44's, Ford Dana 60's and the YJ Dana 30. You can also get some bingin high pinion 9" from Currie. Sometimes guys refer to high pinion axles as having "reverse cut" gears.
