My tow rig: I wonder if fiberglass insulation will be enough to insulate my class c motorhome dog house from the heat of the header (driver side). The heat is melting the carpet

if you have enough room to put in a metal heat shield between your header and the floor go that route.

I was tempted to use header wrap but I'm finding information in the searches that I'm not sure that is best.

This is my first time having a vehicle with headers.
Thanks for the reply.

I Was Cooking P/s Pumps On My Small Block Until I Wrapped The Headers, Used Thermotec Graphite Impregnated Wrap, Wet It, Wrapped The Headers From Top To Collector, Now You Can Run Mt Vernon On The Freeway At 70 Mph Uphill And Still Touch The Wrap And Not Get Burned After. Great Stuff!!db

They make a foil faced insulation just for your application, and usually the factory has it on there (I did RV service for 6 years). RV dealers can get it, and a similar product can be found for aftermarket underhood insulation on cars.
