Pretty much says it all.

Anyone know of anyone who makes one? Or have pics of THE only one that Downey made?

I've talked to them and they are NO help.

Pat,

I'm already looking into this for someone else. I'll let you know what I find out in the next couple of days :D

I have looked into this pretty hard myself and I too found Downey to be very standoffish and completely clueless when I called about it.

I think that this adapter could be made from plate aluminum and an adapter could also be made to put a Chevy six banger flex plate onto the Toyota crank. What stopped me was figuring out how to balance it. I guess a good machine could do it, but there are not really any around here (DC) that would even think of messing with something like that.

Tracknod has a 700R4 and adapter for sale if you figure out how to make this swap work...

The adapter itself (to bolt the tranny to the motor should be absolute CAKE), and I'm sure we can find a flexplate that can be modded to bolt on, or make a very simple adapter that lets a regular chev. flexplate be used.

Anyone (I'm sure tons of people know) know if a 2f is ext. or int. balanced?

My biggest stumbling block right now, is the starter, since on chevys it bolts to the block.

I think it would be fairly easy if I had the time and a 2f sitting on my garage floor to mock stuff up with, but since I don't. I'm looking for the boltin and wheel approach! :D
