1971 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup. Two tone tan/white color. Chevy 350 edelbrock performer 4 barrel with an aluminum manifold.( I think it has an edelbrock carb and Edelbrock? manifold not sure . I think it may have headers too! 3 gas tanks, runs good but does smoke a bit on initial start up. Has expired registration and has not been on the road in a couple years. Was a neighbors truck of my buddies grandfather but they moved and sold them the truck. Rear power lock eaton 4.10 gears, front dana 44 with big hubs with 4.10 gears. Has an aftermarket tach--not sure if it works... I'am taking the drive lines, tranny which was a sm465 and tranfercase which was np205 and cross member + cluth and fly wheel. Had some problems with pink slip--I believe there are just back fees owed. Also taking the rims and will be replacing themwith white spokers or stock white rims.
Asking $1,000 obo, possible trade/part-out as last resort.

I am interested. Can I take a peek at it?
Also, if I already have the tranny and stuff you're looking for, will you leave it complete?

Yeah...my buddy Tom (and myself) are in Santa Clara so we'd have to meet you on the weekend at my buddies Grandparents place. They could show you the truck but they are at the hospital right now as my buddy Tom's Dad had major surgury a few hours ago... so they will not be home for a few days...maybe longer:( PM us if you want to call you or leave a cell #

Hey just looked closely at the engine pic and it looks like the manifold is steel and that the truck does not have headers.

If you have the stuff we need on the truck (trans and transfer case with adapter and shifters, crossmember, driveshafts etc we will not remove them. Just saw the fan on the engine pic and remembered Tom's brother removed the short water pump pulleys and brackets for the steering and alternator as he needed them for his Chevelle. We need 8 lug wheels prefer 8.25-9.75" width so we are taking the rims but have other wheels to make it a roller.

Are you thinking of parting it out yet? You may make more on it. I would be interested in some of the pieces parts.

By the way, I think you have a Chevy not a GMC. The GMC's had quad headlights ;) .

I sent him the PM like he asked.
I'd love to have this truck whole. I also have the parts he's looking for and I have the parts to make this one pretty.

Yep...your right its a Chevy! Like to sell it whole but a neighbor of my grandfathers has got us interested in a possible trade that will work out more in our favor ($$$ wise its more than we are asking here on this board) and still net us the parts we need off this truck. Looks to be a done deal (unless we get a better offer that we can't turn down!) but nothing has been signed and we will keep all whom expressed interest informed before pulling the thread/ad.
Thanks,
Jason :)

is that a short or long bed?

Longbed...all 3/4 tons back then were long beds...

Actually, that's not quite true.
I've seen 3/4 ton and 1 ton short beds in the 67-72 vintages.

Did you sell it or not? May be interested in some parts.
