I've saved and collected much wheel info in the past few years. I'm looking at taking a big step and need to go from a 3.75" backspaced 15x8 chrome mod to a 3.25" 15x8 in similiar type wheel. I called 4wheel Parts Wholesalers and they said they can't get any custom backspaced wheels anyomore. 3 5/8" is what they could get. Does anyone have any current sources? I also tried Summit Racing and I got a similar run around. Anyone have an extra used set they wouldn't mind selling? Oh yeah, I guess I'm dreaming.

I plan on going with an Eaton wheel, available from National Tire and wheel. You can get them in custom offsets, with beadlocks, and in white, black or chrome.

Thanks to all! The site Rhino posted will work for me. A little more than I wanted to spend, but if it works it works. I'm also going to check National Wheel and Tire for their custom wheels they seem to know what is going on. It is too bad we don't have anyone local as wheels are heavy to ship.

hey lcsixty, what do ya mean its a little more than you wanted to spend? i think $50 a rim for custom backspace is pretty dam cheap. i got mine from there, they are U.S. wheels and didnt take too long to arrive.

Eric V. Eric, Budget for paint, too, as those custom wheels are advertised as without paint.

I'm running 8x15 black rock crawlers with 3-5/8" backspacing on my '70 FJ 40 with a newer cruiser disk brake front end. Got them at 4Wheel Parts Wholesalers. They fit fine and have about 1/8-1/4" between the tierod ends and the rim edge. The inside wheel weights stay on fine. 3-1/2" backspacing would be better.
