I'm looking at 2 new winches. Both have similar specs.Only diff I see is that one has a permanent magnet motor and the other is series wound.

Whats the difference between them?
Whats better?

The series is rated at 5.4 hp
The magnet is rated at 4.5hp

permanent magnetic motors are more likely to fail that the wound motor....
