: How many inches is a 'Cruiser rear axle offset to the passenger side?

About 5" on a 40 rear, more on a 60 since only the driver side is longer

Not for me, a local guy with a Sammy is talking about cutting 3" off the passenger side of an IFS axle (which makes it 55") and resplining the shaft so the diff lines up with his t-case.

Sounds like the hard way to basically make a stock FJ-40 axle.

There's a similar thread running on the Sammie board. I think one of the guys said the use a non-IFS axle on the cut down side. Talk to a guy named Poppycock on that board.
