What should I be looking out for, Trouble spots etc. Is the driveline the same as a Cruiser?? Have always liked the 55, but they are hard to find and my technical knowledge is much more minitruck related.

rust is the big problem...check front fender extensions, rear fenderwells, under the tailgate and the ever popular rockers.

For rust, check the bottoms of the front fenders, unless they are new, the WILL be rusted. Also look along the rockers, by the rear wheel, and in the lower quarter panels. The area above the bumper to either side of the tailgate is also a problem area. Tailgates also get holes on either lower corner, and all along the bottom if really bad. The bottom lip/seam of the doors will rust and spread too.

Roof lines can be bad too, so check the rain gutters and rear corners of the roof. This is typically a problem in warmer, sunnier climates for some reason and many here in Socal have REALLY bad roof lines...
