Got the adapter plate from spaceghost yesterday and ordered the pilot bearing adapter from wardens today. Almost ready to start my swap but a question about the clutch. Do I use a chevy clutch and the toyota pressure plate after grinding a1/4 inch or so off the friction disk or will a chevy clutch assembly bolt to the 2f flywheel. any other advise would be appreciated. And Spaceghost thanks for the promp shipment of the parts. If i use a chevy part anyone got a part number . thanks.

You need a common 11", 10 spline 1 1/8" clutch disk. Your stock pressure plate and like dcruiser said no trimming. I could not figure out why many say to do that. Maybe the 3spd clutch and flywheel? You also need a 3spd bellhousing and the 2 stock upper tranny mounting bolts. They thread into the bellhousing and are difficult to find locally.
Glad you got it so promptly,

You might want to think about drilling out and helicoiling the upper mounting holes in the bellhousing to 1/2-13. I had two bellhousing strip out, which can really chew up a tranny.

Good answer Eric, that is precisely what I did, but was reluctant to suggest that to others. Worked fine and ended my search for the original bolts that must have gotten sprayed with the invisible ink I can't find!
