I was looking at a spring chart and noticed that the s10 springs are 48 inches long with a 3 inch offset (27 long side, 21 short side). These springs are 2.5 inches wide according to the chart. Anybody running these?
Haven't heard much talk about em only wagoneer springs. Is there anything wrong with these that people no about.
I understand that putting the long side on the front of the axle will increase axle wrap but these could give me the wheelbase to run an auto. I believe the wagoneer will only gain me 1 or 2 inches. Is that right?

Don't know about S10 springs, but Ranger springs are really long and off set. We're thinking about putting some YJ springs on a friend of mine's so we can move the shackle back and get enough distance to bob the bed.

Go for it! I would give them a shot but plan on adding some leafs as most of those mini truck springs are super soft.

I am using an S-10 leaf mixed into my stock YJ packs as an add-a-leaf to fight axle wrap. They are nice and flexy and have not sagged at all in over a year of usage. I would think that they would be great springs for SOA, especially due to the offest.

thanks for the replies. I don't mind mixing packs so its good that a couple of you have. Looks like I mainly need the main leaf and the second and could mix and match from there
Looking for a cheap way to extend the wheelbase
thanks

also check out Dakota springs. I am not sure of teh specifics but they are LONG with a really big offset.

on a similar note, any particular vehicles that have a good leaf to swap into a YJ pack, or even a complete leaf pack to swap for 2-2.5" lift over stock YJ leafs for a little extra height with a SOA?

sorry I wasn't really concerned with how long they other then the fact they will bolt into a later cj5 cj7 or yj. I was merely looking for the effectiveness of the offset and whether they were right "firmness" for a jeep. Sorry if I wasn't clear in my question.
Of course I could slap in some f350 spring and put them whereever I want but why when I can purchase some s10 springs and bolt them in.
If I was going to the effort of extending teh wheelbase with super long springs I would just do a 4 link because by the time you move the spring hangers and shackle hangers youve done enough work to complete a 4 link

You might want to look at JC Whitney and see if they sell a heavy duty replacement set. I was going through stock Dakotas like crazy and bought a HD set from Whitney and they have been doing fine since.
