My Miller 210 FINNALY came in. I'm going to pick it up at lunch :D :D :D

Looking for a recomended wire size to run. Primary use will be fab work. 1/8" - 1/4" material, with the ocational heavier stuff :D I've been running .024 wire in my Cenary 130, which it has been very happy with.

Also, what else should I get while I'm there?? Various replcement tips/cones?? I don't need to buy out the store, but might as well get a basic set of spares/acc for now. I can get mor stuff later when I need it.

I got most of the basic stuff and can always use more clamps and such. just looking on recomendations for extras to get.

thanks

I'd run .030 wire. As far as spares to get I'd get a box of contact tips. I have a tool called a welper that I like quite a bit, it's made to cut wire, remove the nozzles and tips and clean the nozzle. Oh, and enjoy your new toy :D

Congrats:bounce2:

I orderd my Miller 210 on 10-30-01 and it came to my door on 12-29-01.! I'm using .030 and C02 works just fine.

Basically, Use .024 for anything ~ 16 guage and thinner
and .030 up to 1/4"

So stock up on .030 since you're doing 1/8" to 1/4".

Besides stuff already mentioned, maybe pick up welding blanket (to protect surrounding stuff, and or magnetic angle holders (magnetically holds your work in place while you weld), obviously welding gloves and helmet if you don't already have em. That's about all I can think of besides stuff already listed.
