Not asking to get flamed as I am a diesel guy. I have a friend with a 99 tahoe with a 5.7 efi in it. He is looking to get a chip or programmer for it. Does anyone have any recommendations as to which is best (hp, torque, mileage). I am sure it is a lot of personal preference, but I'm just looking for some opinions.

I just bought a Superchips programmer for my 98 Fullsize. I bought it because it's sittin on 35's ... and i wanted the speedo and shift recalibration that it offers. The superchips is the only one that would go up to 38's. This programmer was awesome !... woke my truck up. I noticed a HUGE difference. Not only did it fix all my shift points and increse the RPM limiter and speedo limiter .... the performance gain was very noticable !
