: XJ with a Leaf Sprung YJ Dana 30???

take a YJ Dana 30, and throw it under an XJ with shackle reverse setup... will it work???

I believe the axles are exactly the same except for the spring perches of course, and the U-Joints will be the bigger 297's.

The reason i ask is because, i currently have a 1985 Ford Ranger With a solid axle conversion, SOA DANA 30 From a 87 YJ...

I want to take the DANA 30 off, and setup my XJ with it leaf sprung, in preperation for my 44 front and 60 rear. This way, i can wheel, while i preap my 44 / 60, and i am just that much more done with the soa front end setup on my XJ :)
