Thanks for that awsome pic. I am going to try to duplicate it. I have a couple of questions.
1. The bolt that the holds the linkage on to the plate...did you cut the the threads off of the 16mm bolt and weld it to the plate? Or did you drill it and put the nut on the back of the plate? if you did, how did you get enough room behind the plate for the nut?

2. do you have a part number for those linkages? or name??

3. did you just heat up and bend the drop down arm to the plunger or did you extend it?

please let me know...

the plate on the tranny is a peice of 3/8"plate. If I remember the bolt is the stock one just welded to the plate. It does not go through the plate, just welded to it.
The 2-4wd lever was heated and reshaped to reach the plunger on the front output.
The joints are I think made by "dormont"? the invoice is abreviated as "DOR 116-202" spherical joint.
I got them at a CarQuest dealer in Sac.

Thank you very much...My biggest question was the bolt welded to the plate...I guess you just cut off the threads and weld it on. I live in a small town in Oregon (moving to LA next month) but there is a car quest here. I will try to get the Heim joints tomorrow...

The first round is on me at the Rubicon this year...

Do you have the stock linkage?
I added those joints to the linkage after I put a different adapter on. This adapter rotated my t-case down more than my old adapter did. The stock rods would of needed to be tweeked
a little so they wouldn't bind. Thats when I decided to use those
rod ends. They are alot tighter, less rattle in the shifter.
The bolt I'm pretty sure is the stock one cut off and welded
to the plate, but I don't see any reason you cant use another
bolt that fits the shifter.

Thanks again,
Yes i have the stock linkage, I pretty much did exactly what you did in your pics, except i only bought one of those heim joints and just used a small L bracked and bolted it to the bottom of the shifter. It worked out great..
