I'm planning a SOA with waggy 44's and 4" springs under the scout at the end of the month.. But was worried that the drive line angle will be to server and a cut-n-turn would be inorder, which would defeat part of the reason for using the jeep axle.
Should I ditch the springs or give it a shot...?

I have 2.5" and had a waggy front and there was still plenty of room for droop. However, I also had a 34" front drive shaft. I don't know what your DS length is...

Is the waggy axle setup for SUA? You already have to do a fair amount of work to set the axle up for SOA, you might as well go the extra mile, point the diff at the t-case and twist the knuckles.

Yes the axle is setup for SUA.. If it mean turning the knuckles I won't put the 4" springs on...

You've got the grind and make a perch in the housing right? If you set perch so the pumpkin is level then you have to start over if you want to point the pumpkin. Might as well point it and twist.
BTW, you can run the dl with that much lift, you just need to clearnace the yokes.

The waggy 44 with 4" SUA pretty much points the pinion at the transfer case. I think using it in a SOA alone would be close enough to use a CV without having to cut and turn...not sure about with 4" springs and SOA.
I have no idea on how much will have to be ground out for the perch. I am picking one up today, so I can get a better idea.
