My buddy has a 85 F150 with a 208. He wants to know if he can get a flange for the back end of the tranny instead of having the slip yoke.

Anyone know if there is a kit, or a swap from another transfer case for this? Thanks.......

Am I the only one not understanding this Question? The 208 isnt a slip yoke design...

maybe I worded it wrong. He wants a flange off the transfer case, to the rear driveshaft. It is a slip in yoke, and he wants to know if there is a way to put a flange there instead of the slip in.

That help?

The Np 208 has a Flange...Not a slip Yoke....
I mean its a yoke that slides in and has a 1 1/4" nut...
I guess this "Could" be called a slip yoke.. Then again I am

Pavelow, pass it this way man cause I've yet to see a 208 with a slip yoke style driveline.. Maybe a 1356 has a slip type, not sure though..Havent had one...:rasta:

I think it's only the broncos that got the fixed yoke....Every 208 in F150's I've seen has been the slip yoke style.

And to answer the question you can just change the tail housing between the 2, but it'd prob just be easier to swap t-cases. 208's are usually pretty cheap and easy to come by.

Broncos had a fixed yoke, F-150 pickups used a slip yoke.

Not all F150's got a slip yoke... I just pulled a fixed yoke 208 out of an 82 F150 long bed, 351w/C6.

good catch cause thats where one of my donor 208s came from.

i use a jeep 208 in my ranger with a v8 and aod.

u use the 208 ford input shaft and the tailhousing and fixed output shaft and speedometer gear.

so whether you want to swap parts or cases...its a go pave head.
