Just finishing up the steering on my Scout D44. I'm using a jeep saginaw box with a normal length pitman. I'd like to attach the drag link to the tierod so I can get full lock out of the steering.

So here's the question, the normal rod ends are the ES150L & R anyone know of a TRE with scout taper that has a place for the draglink.

Thanks

How about this, anyone know where I can find specs for Moog TRE's online?

Thanks

Maybe Billa Vista's site? Other than that, I dunno. I figured that Old Scout or Ben would chime in with some help....

Call Mike @ Bent and Twisted (http://bentandtwisted.com) (530) 342-3003. I've been bugging him about the steering for my Scout. Give him a call he should be able to give you some advice and point you in the right direction.

I checked out Bill Vistas site, lots of good info, but only chevy TRE's. Guess I'll do it the old fashioned way, go down to the parts store and start thumbing through the catalog. I can hear it already:
"And what vehicle is that for sir"
- a 46 CJ
"My books don't go back that far"
- the axle is out of a 79 scout II
"What engine is in that"
- Doesn't matter, it's not normal tierod setup
"I can't look that up in the computer"
- Do you have a book?
"Yes, but I need to know the same information
- Can I look at the book?

I hate going to the parts store ;)

I hear ya on that one...I don't have a thing left in my Scout that is International. I have been trying to get the front 60 all lined up and I keep getting the "What motor is in that?" I tell them..IT DOESN'T FAWKEN MATTER...round and round we go....

Unfortunately a 30 minute scan of the moog book came up dry. Couldn't find a rod end with draglink connector in the scout taper. So back to the drawing board.
