Almost done with mine. I'm just figuring where to put the coils and which ones to run.
I've got 3 sets, in no small part thanks to Scott@Rockstomper. They are:
Crown Vic, about 250 lb/ in
Camaro, about 150 lb/in
stock XJ front, around 180 lb/in I think?
Sooo, if anyone reading has done this, what spring rate seems to work best? I can always match the front later since it's next on the menu.
It was just your average lightweight -5 with a V-8 before all this started.
Oh, one more thing, can anybody give me a guess of finished weight? I have no idea, anyway it's 401 T-18 D20, 14 bolt D60 and 39" Swampers.
Need to know the weight because, very soon I may need a tow rig...:barf:

id say the 150 no way the 180 yeahh that would work.... maybe a little softer than id like.... 250 im not sure maybe too stiff, but i would think bout trying the 250 first....

got a question... are they all the same height? id look at the tallerspring also due to compresssion... no matter what i wouldnt go with the 150

I would guess 180 spring rate is good for a -5. As far as weight goes, I put my -7 on my race car scales. It came in at 3,445 lbs, with a full tank, trail tools and spare parts.
I have a i-6/t-5/d-300, 35" bfg's, a big warn winch, full cage and a fiberglass tub.

When you weighed your Jeep, were you able to weigh each corner seperatly? If so, what did they weigh?

Thanks

Tom

Cool, thanks:beer:
I've got the XJ ones in there now. Since I'm setup for XJ coils I can just swap various lift springs in, regular XJ isolators, whatever..
Good to know on the weight also. How much less do you think the glass tub weighs?

Yea I weighed each corner seperate, but didn't write it down. I'll do it again when I drop the moter back in, and bolt up the winch. Maybe this weekend, maybe not
