I have heard that the close knuckle dana 70 and dana 60 have the same outer U-joints as the open knuckle dana 44. A friend of mine was tell me that his close knuckle dana 60 has a larger U-joint. Does anyone know forsure what the deal is?

The answer is: it depends.

Some closed-knuckle 70's have the smaller U-joints, some use tracta joints, and some use fulll 60-size U-joints.
