hey I gotta trick.. maybe for using a plasma cutter.
I want to get or make a "magnet rope"
I would use a thick (but still flexible) cable and attath magnets every few inches
this cable could be formed to whatever shape you wanna cut to use as a "straightedge guide"
anyone have any ideas on this??
has anyone ever seen one that I could buy instead of make??
Draftsmen use something similar to form compound curves. It's plastic coated though, so it wouldnt be useful for much other than marking. Perhaps freehand a prototype

I thought about the hose Idea but finding magnets that siz and strong would take the same amount of searching as finding a unit
that is already made!!!

You could wrap somthing with wire and make an electro magnet.
I was actually wondering the same thing about having one of those. If you were to just make your own, I would recommend the elniko magnets (however you spell it). Strongest magnets I have seen. Amazingly strong actually. Just becareful to not leave the magnets in contact with hot surfaces too long.
If there is an aftermarket one, let us know.
