Mods if this needs to be moved feel free.
I have been searching but it seems not to be working today so:
wrangler 2.5 tbi is hesitating horribly at around 2400-3000 rpms. Cant seem to trace this problem down.
Spark plugs are new, cap, rotor, fuel pump, engine refreshed about 5,000 miles ago.
Just hoping someone has had some experience with this.

Are there any codes or pending codes? It could be caused by many things. More info on the vehicle would be good too. Is the exhaust plugged. What kind of scope pattern is the crank angle sensor producing. Is the fuel pressure correct and the fuel volume. Just because there is a new fuel pump does not mean it is not the problem. Distributer pickups could be malfunctioning. Distributer cap may be crossfiring. Did this come on suddenly or was it slow? Was it having a running problem recently? The catalytic converter could be plugged. How does it sound when accelerating? How does it idle and just off idle?

No codes or pending codes as the computer does not store them.
The exhaust is not plugged, checked that yesterday.
This is a problem that came on slowly and progressed as the weather got colder.
The engine runs perfect at idle and everywhere else just not 2400-3000 rpms.
I will check the crank sensor today, and double check the fuel pressure, cap and wires.

Could be throttle position sensor (TPS) as well.

Mine did the same thing last month.
I replaced everything BUT the fuel pressure regulator and it ran like crap in the same RPM range you are talking about.
Changing the Fuel regulator takes about 5 minutes and cost me 70 bucks (bastards).
