: Lifting TJ - New Drive Shaft Length

History: I currently have a 2000 TJ with a 2" spring lift, TeraLow SYE, and TeraLow CV drive shaft (16" compressed - 19" extended).

Future: I am upgrading to a RE 5.5" Short Arm Super Flex lift and a Custom flat skid (1" below the frame rails). Anybody know what length the rear driveshaft needs to be?

I would suggest going with the long arm version of the RE 5.5" kit. It's a fairly tall lift and the short arms will prove interesting  at that height/angle.

Rugger99 - I was given the lift by someone who upgraded to the long arm kit, so I'm not complaining. For the kind of rock crawling I do, the short arm will work just fine.

For you other two - Search doesn't work and I went back as far as this section will go (10 days) and found nothing. Are you suggesting I should wait patiently for search to come back up or for someone else ask the same question and glean the info from your replies? :shaking:

Attention Mods!

PS 5.5" coils and short arms are like oil and water, street jeep or not.

I don't have the lift or skid on yet. I would like to do it in one weekend instead of putting it together, then letting it sit for a couple weeks waiting for the shaft to come in.

FYI....It takes like 2-3 days on a driveshaft...I dunno where you are ordering yours from but you better look at getting a better suppplier if it takes a couple of weeks :flipoff2:

Finally, some usefull info. Never ordered a drive shaft before, so I didn't know the length of time it took to build and ship one. I'll call Jess after the lift is in. Thanks.

If you think you can only look through the last 10 days of posts then you really suck at the internet.

You are going to have to put the lift on and measure to find out what length you need, if you want it to be correct at least....

Please move this junk.....
