is there any way to modify a b&m megashifter to make it a straight gate shifter all the way from park to 1st.

Take a look at the B&M Z-gate :smokin: ... the action of that one is what you are describing, rather than ratcheting back and forth for each gear.

i know that there are other ones out there, but i just got this one last year and dont want to buy another one. what i was wondering is if there is any piece i can take out or something i could cut off to eliminate the rachet action. thanks

Why not just put a reverse valve boby in the trans and do it the right way ??

If you get rid of the ratchet action you might lose the reverse lock out.
also it won't take much to bump it out of gear!!

yes you have drive ! It's just on the bottom where 1st was !!

I know that the B&M pro stick can be modded to allow what you are wanting (that's what's going in my truck right now). The only down side being the cost of the shifter (not the cheapest one out there)
