I know about the general reasons that live axle is better for wheelin than IFS is, but I'm wondering if it really makes a huge difference. In other words, is it something that should be considered when buyin a new vehicle that you plan on wheelin a few years down the road? I don't plan on too much hardcore rock crawlin, but a few years down the line I wanna be takin the rig offroad often in the mud, trails, etc.

there was just a whole big write up on this. search it and it has a lot of useful info about different opinions. it depends on what kind of wheeling u do though.

Depends on the vehicle and what kind of wheelin your doing, but lockers are a must with IFS.
Solid axle has a whole bunch less crap to break, way easier to trail fix.
