: welding carts?

anyone have pics. how you constructed your welding cart? what tube was used?thickness? wanted to make one for my welder and tank but would like to see how you guys have done yours.

What kind of welder do you have? We have a larger MIG so it has castors on it with a built in bottle holder..:)

What size bottle you need, they start at around $60 and go up to around $260 for a "t" that holds 2400psi...

I find used cylinders at yardsales and unlikely places all the time, you can get them for next to nothing on some days.

I used an old shopping cart for my starting point, and it works way better than any of the "real" ones I've seen. I took off the basket, added a platform, it has hangers for the torch, ground, and my helmet. I even added some rectangular tube to add a holster for my welding pliers. The cart came out of a creek, I used scrap for everything else, took about 2 hours to make....and whole thing cost $0!

scwafish , thats a GREAT idea! well i'm off to wal-mart. There's always one out on the edge of thier 8 acre parking lot....:D

I have 2 here in Kansas if you want to come get them.:D Realy, I find them at garage sales for 2 to 5 bucks each.

Just make sure they arent Rentals :D
